Performance rankings

23rd to 30th June 2019

1st Imatran Pallo-Veikot
IPV put on a big performance this week against KPL and took 3 points for their 2-0 (7-2, 3-2) win. For KPL this meant that they had lost 2 games in a row and lose their grip at the top of the table. The big result keeps IPV in the hunt for a playoff spot and will give fans some encouragement for upcoming games.

2nd Sotkamon Jymy
SoJy have been chipping away to try and reach the top spot in the table and wins over Joensuun Maila and Raahe (twice) were significant. It was a tossup between Vimpeli and SoJy who took 2nd and 3rd in this weeks ranks, but the win against JoMa (the reigning champions) was the clincher.

3rd Vimpeli Veto
Vimpeli could not have done better this week, winning 3 from 3 games and taking 9 points to keep them top of the table. The reason why they don’t top the performance rankings this week is purely down to who they beat - Alajärvi, IPV and Kiteen Pallo -90, which are all games that Vimpeli were expected to dominate.

Worst performance - Kiteen Pallo -90
It helps to become the worst performing team if you don’t win any games, or even score any points in a given week, but KiPa’s loss to Raahe was particularly tough as it means that Raahe leapfrog them in the table and really put the pressure on KiPa to avoid relegation.

Worthy of mention - Kouvolan Pallonlyöjät
The slide started last week for KPL who lost to Vimpeli on 19th June and then IPV this week on 25th June. KPL’s bid to regain top spot immediately fell flat with a 3 point loss to IPV and they looked like they may be this weeks worst performers, but wins against Kankaanpää and Kempelee saved them from that accolade.
