Hyvinkään Tahko v  Kempeleen Kiri 29th June 2019 Tahko looked to capitalise on JoMa’s loss to Jymy on Friday and close in on out of form KPL at third in the table. Unfortunately KeKi had a very different idea and were looking to lift themselves out of the lower half of the table, scrambling for survival. In the first jakso Tahko got the first run on the broad after Teemu Rouhiainen scored on a wild throw. Tahko built on this adding 2 more runs from Juha Korhonen in the first and second innings, bringing home Lauri Vierimaa both times. KeKi did reduce the lead to just 1 run in the second and third innings with runs from Ossi Meriläinen and Marri Korhonen, but in the end Tahko managed to pull away and win the jakso 5-2. In the second jakso KeKi came to bat with purpose and immediately put down a marker scoring twice in the first inning thanks to Jonne Luhtavaara. Kiteen Pallo -90 v  Vimpeli Veto 29th June 2019 Vimpeli kept on track to fight for top of the table come the end of the season, with a 3 point win over Kitee. Kitee were scoreless in the first jakso, whist Vimpeli relied on the bat of Viljo Sillanpää who hit a kunniajuoksu in the first inning, who later came to score off Janne Mäkelä to open up a lead of 2-0. Despite Vimpeli having 16 chances at bat, the first inning was limited to just two runs. Sami Haapakoski made it 3-0 when Aleksi Rantala ran home safely in the second inning. In the second jakso Vimpeli stuck to form and chalked up 2 early runs off the bat of Janne Mäkelä, helped in part by a wild throw that allowed  Olli Heikkala and Mikko Kanala to advance to third and second bases respectively earlier in the inning. Kiteen’s offence never really seemed to get going and Ville Liukku was the only Kiteen player to bring a runner home during the game. By the third inning in the second jakso, it was all but

JoMa displayed some great athleticism in defence and denied Jymy the chance to put runs on the board in the first or second vuoro. In the third vuoro Jymy managed to narrow the deficit when Joni Rytkönen launched the ball into space and scored a kunniajukso (home run). Jymy’s attempt at a rally was cut short when Roope Korhonen failed to bring Joni Rytkönen and  Lauri Rönkkö to score from third base and were put out at home. JoMa added some insurance Despite their best efforts, Jymy were unable to overcome the deficit and fell short in the 4th inning. JoMa won the first jakso 5-3. In the second jakso however Jymy seemed to have found their stride and they quickly built up a lead, scoring 3 in the first inning. Jymy continued to score as the innings rolled on, extending their lead to 6-1 in the third inning. The task was just too much for JoMa who managed to narro
