Performance rankings 15th to 21st July 2019

Performance rankings
15th to 21st July 2019

As we reach the final third of games in the regular season, the transfer window closed on 21st July, so rosters are now set ready for the coming rounds. Here are last weeks performance rankings.

1st Joensuun Maila
How do you make top spot on our performance rankings? By beating the league leader whilst their form is worthy of top 3 in our rankings! JoMa had a big win against Tahko, but the biggest coup was their dramatic win against Vimpeli. JoMa had an absolutely fantastic week, which occurred during the week that the 2020 manager for the club was announced (Mikko Korhonen).

2nd Vimpelin Veto
Vimpeli had a mixed week, but their points came against high performers in JoMa and Tahko. Vimpeli lost in a tight game to JoMa which has opened the door for KPL or Sotkamo (who are now 2nd in the league) to snatch top spot.

3rd Sotkamon Jymy
Sotkamo won all 3 of their games last week taking a maximum 9 points from 9. The caliber of opposition was not on par with JoMa who beat league leaders Vimpeli in a thrilling game to end the week. Sotkamo will be pleased that their performance has recovered since their shock defeat at home to Siilinjärvi the week before.

Worst performance - Kempeleen Kiri
Kempele were the only team not to win any points last week, but the teams they lost to included 2 of our top 3 performers. The reality however is that Kempele’s performance in these games was poor and they have sunk to 11th in the table.

Worthy of mention - Seinäjoen JymyJussit

JyJu lost to Kitee and KPL and slip down to 7th as a result. The loss to Kitee was particularly frustrating as JyJu were never behind in the game until the scoring contest that finally settled the result.
